"I grew up in Chalk River, a small village in the Ottawa Valley near Algonquin Park in northeastern Ontario. Our house was on the edge of town and across the road stretched boundless acres of natural forest. I spent much of my childhood exploring woodland trails, climbing huge pine trees, picking wild berries and swimming in the lake. My high school campus overlooked the scenic Ottawa River and Laurentian Mountains of Quebec.

As an adult, I continue to enjoy the natural wilderness regions of Canada and other countries. Many of my paintings feature dramatic trees, skies, rivers, lakes and other awe-inspiring scenery."
